reuse model for technical and other equipment, as well as for costumes and some props.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 Sets and scenery are more challenging, because every set is bespoke, and set design involves Intellectual Property rights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 The following generic set components should always be reclaimed and reused:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">&#8211; In addition, the aim for materials should be not only for a single reuse, but to have a number of lives:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 A piece of set might get reused as it is.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 It might be modified &amp; reduced in size.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 It might be modified again by a smaller company, or someone outside theatre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 It might be broken into constituent good-sized, good-quality materials and reused for something completely different.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 Eventually, it might be so battered and small that the only use for it is to be chipped &#8211; but it will have had a long, useful life first.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Wider reuse and recycling resources include:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 Online materials sharing &#8211; networks like Freecycle, GumTree, local Facebook groups etc<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 Second-hand shops and antique fairs stock and take a wide range of materials<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u2022 Donated materials available through local charities, schools and events networks<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The following may also give useful information:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/waste\/waste-electrical.htm\">WEEE Recycling Information<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/therestartproject.org\/\">The Restart Project<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thefirstmile.co.uk\/\">First Mile<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/envirowastemanagement.com\/\">Envirowaste<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiculture.org\/ki-books\/\">Ki Books<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/childrensscrap.co.uk\/suppliers\/\">Children\u2019s S.C.R.A.P.
