It is a go-to place for practical guidelines, ecological values and the exchange of knowledge. At its heart is a pledge: a public act of commitment to a set of ecological principles. These not only provide individuals with a personal framework for a greener practice but also help create the necessary collective momentum for sector-wide transformation. A place for exchange, shared learning, and mutual support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><strong>Who is it for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Everyone in the performing arts sector and beyond. All scales. All stages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">It answers a need for shared principles and joint objectives to use from the outset amongst the whole production team. It is for all sizes of company, types of production need and stages of career, wherever you are in your sustainability journey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">This <a href=\"https:\/\/ecostage.online\/\">pack<\/a> includes a document designed by Mona Kastel, Ecoscenographer on how to be more sustainable in your practice.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><b>International Teaching Artist Conference (ITAC) Climate Collective<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p4\">ITAC\u00a0is proud to be working on\u00a0ITAC IMPACT:\u00a0Climate\u00a0with our partners at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/community-arts.net\/\"><span class=\"s3\">Community Arts Network (CAN)<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><strong>The Climate Collective<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">ITAC has newly commissioned five teaching artists from around the world to design and deliver projects in their local communities that change beliefs and behaviours in relation to climate change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itac-collaborative.com\/projects\/itac-impact-climate\">Join this group<\/a> of like minded teaching artists and share ideas and challenges of sustainability in practice. The group meets monthly.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><b>Federation of Scottish Theatre Key Issues Working Group: Environment<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p4\"><strong>Strategy Aims and Development Themes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Phase 1 of the Strategy Development work (June \u2013 December 2020) focussed on consultation with the membership and sector, and sought to define needs, key issues and priorities for change. We are very grateful to all the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishtheatre.org\/change\/strategy-development\/working-groups-strategy-development\/\"><span class=\"s3\">Working Group<\/span><\/a>\u00a0participants\u00a0for their contributions during this time. The impact of Covid-19 has been hard on the sector and amplified existing problems and challenges particularly in relation to the workforce. At the end of Phase 1 FST Members agreed to adopt the principles of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wellbeingeconomy.org\/scotland\"><span class=\"s3\">Wellbeing Economy<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u2013 prioritising wellbeing and justice for people and nature at the heart of the strategy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">The sector strategy aims to strengthen the Theatre and Dance sector in Scotland for the benefit of audiences everywhere.<br \/>We will achieve this by developing activity in the following themes:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Wellbeing:\u00a0prioritising fairness and wellbeing for people and nature<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Access:\u00a0championing equitable access to create, participate and engage in performance activity<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Sustainable:\u00a0making more effective and sustainable use of our resources<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Partnership:\u00a0nurturing greater collaboration and partnership working<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">NB: These aims are still in development and may continue to evolve in Phase 2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Phase 2<br \/>March \u2013 September 2021<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">At the conclusion of Phase 2, we hope to have gathered further evidence and a deeper understanding of each of the themes that will help empower the sector to prioritise and set focused, and tangible, goals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">During this time development will focus on three types of activity to deepen learning and support our long-term goals\/ actions:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Data\/ information gathering and analysis<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Sector capacity building through learning, sharing practice, skills development, collaboration<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Advocacy through FST\u2019s ongoing work in this area<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Strategy Development Resources<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">To find and view the latest Strategy Development Resources simply click the button below.<\/p>\n<p>Please note for some resources you will need to be logged into your FST Members account to download these.<br \/>If you have any issues accessing your account then please contact us at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hello@scottishtheatre.org\"><span class=\"s3\">hello@scottishtheatre.org<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishtheatre.org\/change\/strategy-development\/working-groups-strategy-development\/\">Strategy Development Working Group<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishtheatre.org\/change\/strategy-development\/\">Strategy Development<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><b>Creative Carbon Scotland- Resources<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p4\">Creative Carbon Scotland believes in the essential role of the arts, screen, cultural and creative industries in contributing to the transformational change to a more environmentally sustainable Scotland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">We work directly with individuals, organisations and strategic bodies engaged across cultural and sustainability sectors to harness the role of culture in achieving this change. Through year-round work and one-off projects, we combine strategic expertise and consultancy, bespoke carbon management training and guidance, and a range of programmes supporting the development of artistic practices that address sustainability and climate change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Creative Carbon Scotland is committed to actively promoting equality and diversity in all our work, events and recruitment processes. An effective whole school and community approach to LfS weaves together global citizenship, sustainable development education and outdoor learning to create coherent, rewarding and transformative learning experiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">LfS is an entitlement for all learners within Curriculum for Excellence and is embedded within the professional standards for Scotland\u2019s educators.
